Perinatal Mood and Postpartum Therapy
It's not a topic that comes up at play groups or over coffee. 1 in 5-7 women suffer silently as they are too afraid to seek help. The reward and adjustment to life after have a child(ren) can be both beautiful and difficult. We can absolutely love being a parent while also feeling overwhelmed. If you are struggling with infertility, intrusive thoughts, mom guilt and loss, therapy can be a great support for you. Sessions are also available to the couple for pre baby planning.
I am trained and certified in Perinatal Mental Health through the world's first certification program through Postpartum Support International. With psycho-education and supportive psychotherapy, we will be able to create an experience worth your effort and learn to "normalize" the context of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (which includes pre-pregnancy, during pregnancy and postpartum). Therapeutic alliance is predictive of successful outcome!
